Displex Scratch Remover

With this new type of special polishing paste, end users have, for the first time, the possibility of eliminating the surface scratches on their mobile phone, MP3/4 player or any other LCD displays, quickly and cost-effectively, in a do-it-yourself process.

Leaves a sparkling clean finish. Tube contains 5g of polish, which is sufficient for approx. 8-10 applications. Product works well on MP3 and MP4 players, Sony Playstation Portables, PDA's, mobile phones, watches with plastic displays, etc.

The Problem:

Mobile phone displays scratch very easily and thus appear shabby and unsightly. Only a few manufacturers offer replacement displays and even then the exchange can be very costly.

The Solution:

• Locate two soft, clean smooth cotton cloths
• Dampen the one cloth slightly and use to clean the scratched display and remove  any dirt or oil residue.
• Buff the display completely dry when done
• Apply some DISPLEX to the mobile phone display (a drop)
• Polish the entire display with mild pressure for 1-2 minutes using circular motions.
• Then polish off displex residue for 2 minutes with the dry, clean side of the cotton cloth.
• Repeat application as necessary for deep scratches.
  

 Note 

• Do not polish coated surfaces such as certain camera lenses.
• Treat the transparent part of the display lens exclusively and not the plastic/metal housings.
• Cover any housings and logos embossed or printed on the display with tape to avoid it being rubbed off in the process
• You need to polish the entire display and not just isolated pieces otherwise differences in sheen will appear.
• Do not use on touch-screens or touch displays without testing one corner of the screen first.
• Not suitable for continued repeated use - please use a screen protector film after removing scratches, to prevent further scratches.
• Deep scratches may or may not be removed with this product.

Method of operation:

The plastic lens is lightly dissolved and polished with fine abrasive particles. The corners of the scratch traces are rounded off and the fissure bottom filled out with the material of the lens itself.
