Personal GPS Tracker with SMS messaging and speaker phone
With this handy little device you'll be able to track an object or yourself/loved one from a remote location using ordinary GSM SMS messages. The small lightweight and portable device houses a SIM card and battery, and is able to be used anywhere you have GSM (cellular) and GPS coverage.
During a quick and painless setup process you'll be able to set the time of tracking refreshes as well as the remote phone the device will keep in contact with. After setup it's as simple as "asking" the GPS device to start tracking and popping it into your bag, pocket, purse etc. You can even contact the tracker with voice by making a cellular call to it and whoever has the tracker can reply using the built in mic and speaker phone, for 2-way cellular communication. The user of the tracker can press a panic button to make a phone call to the designated "home phone" and coordinates are also immediately sent to the home phone when the panic is pressed.
The tracker has a built-in GPS unit that works with the GPS satellite network to give accurate location readings. It uses a standard GSM network (with a standard or prepaid SIM which you must supply) for SMS and voice communications. You send an SMS to the tracker to interrogate the location and an SMS is returned to you from the tracker showing latitude, longitude, speed, heading and date with time. Can also be set up to give regular time-based SMS location updates.
Suitable uses include asset protection, surveillance, vehicle tracking, plotting routes and keeping track of children or loved ones. Also very useful as a security device as the user can press a button on the unit for 3 seconds to generate an emergency cellular voice call or 6 seconds to send emergency SMS with location, to a preconfigured cell phone number.
